Jeff Struecker is known for his combat experience, which includes participation in the invasion of Panama, Operation Desert Storm, Black Hawk Down in Somalia, and more than a dozen combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Jeff has been awarded medals for valor in combat and has received many medals as recognition for his service in the US Army.

Jeff talks about how God used him to change the lives of those he was in combat with. The movie Black Hawk Down highlights the day that he and his soldiers were engaged in an all-day fire fight where both of their helicopters were shot down. After the fire fight, 20-30 guys came up to him and told him that they saw something different in him during that fire fight. They said, "I need to talk to you right now about your faith." He said, "They only reason I acted as I did was because Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and I know I'm going to heaven when I die."
